A 26-Episode Television Series Celebrating the Composers Who Shaped Türkiye’s Musical Heritage

Production has been completed and delivered to TRT Music for “Masters of Turkish Classical Music” (Yıldız Bestekârlar), a television series dedicated to the composers and timeless works that have shaped one of Türkiye’s most important musical traditions.

Hosted by Atakan Aktaş, the series consists of 26 episodes, each running for 45 minutes. The program takes viewers on a journey through the rich cultural heritage of Turkish Classical Music, introducing the composers whose works continue to influence generations of musicians and audiences.

Throughout the series, viewers discover the lives, artistic visions and musical contributions of some of the most influential composers in Turkish music history. The program also explores the stories behind their compositions, providing historical context and insights into the development of Türkiye’s musical culture.

Featuring expert commentary, archival materials and performances of iconic works, the series presents a comprehensive overview of the evolution of Turkish Classical Music across different periods.

With a total running time of approximately 19.5 hours, the project was completed following an extensive research, production and post-production process before being delivered to TRT Music, Türkiye’s dedicated public television channel for music and cultural programming.

Designed to preserve and promote cultural heritage, “Masters of Turkish Classical Music” aims to introduce these significant musical works to wider audiences while helping ensure that Türkiye’s rich musical legacy continues to be appreciated by future generations.

The series stands as an important cultural production that celebrates the composers, melodies and artistic traditions that have played a defining role in the history of Turkish music.
